  • The Tula from Israel on the left is from Playing for Change. On the right is the Tula from Israel on Myspace. I don't think they are the same person. Does anyone have a link or info on the girl on the lefts music? Odd they are both from Tel Aviv.
  • The Tula labeled from Tel Aviv from the "Don't Worry" video for the "Playing for change Project" seems to be a member of a Barcelona based band called Los Batukeros De La Calle. If you see the man listed as Pierre Minetti listed from Nancy, France he is also in the band and wrote the song they sing in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAjFnJuk1Aw . I found this information at http://www.playingforchange.com/pop2.html by clicking on media then clicking on Don't Worry, then clicking Artist Info and Photo Gallery. The Gallery shows Tula with the band. I also saw her on a youtube video of the band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FyOB75o-zw and this one that really shows how great her voice is. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=9317436 one more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mikSS8f6SQ&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo%2Egoogle%2Ecom%2Fvideosearch%3Fhl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26rlz%3D1T4DVXA%5FenUS318US267%26q%3Dlos%2Bbatukeros%2Bde%2Bla%2Bcall&feature=player_embedded You can download 3 songs by clicking the red arrows below media player at the following limk. http://klanlatinos.blogspot.com/2008/10/los-batukeros-de-la-calle-promo.html Here is the Bands Bio LOS BATUKEROS DE LA CALLE began in the streets of Barcelona. Musicians met when the “Ciudad Condal” (the city shire) was still a centre of free cultural expression - a haven for musicians to jam and busk among the streets and its people. What unites these artists is their passion for Latin music and for the hot and magic rhythms of Africa. The band now represents musicians from Mexico, Israel, France, Italy and, of course Catalonia. Their music reflects the encounters between Latin, Salsa and Reggae, coming from an interaction of street musicians from many continents. They play a journey following rhythms through Latin America. Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico & Brazil give the inspiration to BTK's salsa, where they bring alive these countries' passion for dance and life in music and lyrics. Created and practiced among audiences who stop to dance in the street, their concerts are the spirit of encounter: of musicians, of music, of people. LOS BATUKEROS DE LA CALLE (BTK) are: Pierre(French) – songwriter, vocals & guitar Pedrito (French from Uruguayan roots) – songwriter, vocals & guitar Tula (Israeli) – vocals Canek (Mexican) – vocals & raspa Andi (Catalan) – percussion François (French) – bongos & timbales Fiti (Catalan) – bass & violin Damien (French) – piano Dani (Swiss) – trumpet Willy (Argentinien) – trombone Wow, this info was hard to find. I hope to find more music featuring Tula. They played at South by Southwest 2009 and hopefully will be on some of the US TV shows soon.

My real name is Lital Zemer, and Tula is my stage name and other persona. First of all, let I would like to thank you for listening, and I seriously hope you will feel my music inspiring :) I am searching for a label and for an artist contract. My story with music is long, painful and as real as can be. I don't get any support from my family. My dad, a former trombonist, son of a Lithuanian opera writer, is really against me making music, he has told me from a really young age that music is only for the soul. For me, music is my soul. I am a self trained pianist (I started playing piano at the age of 4 and till today I don't know how to read notes), and I am involved in every production - as if it's my child, I'm a true perfectionist. My Music reflects who I really am, something that was well hidden for a period of 10 years in which I wasn't but tried to be someone else: I got a Molecular Biochemistry Degree at the best University in Israel to please my parents. Obviously, that didn't work… I decided I want to be a fulltime musician, although some people may call me crazy for letting go of this position, job and money… I truly felt I have to be myself and that was Tula – The musician, the pianist, the singer songwriter…" Source and further information: http://www.hitquarters.com/index.php3?page=a/artists.php&id=9669
