If we hadn't joined the fight against Germany, and fully supported Britain w/ convoys and antisubmarine warfare, they very possibly would have been starved out. (I've read that Germany had very little chance of ever successfully invading Britain.) Even if not, Germany would have been free to devote much more manpower to invading the USSR. Just manpower and resourcewise, it would have been extremely difficult for Germany to have ultimately won, barring unforseen circumstances like the USSR falling apart. So, most likely the USSR eventually would have rolled over Western Europe too and made all of it like E. Europe actually was after the war.
    .
In the Pacific... wasn't one of Japan's aims to secure an oil supply? (In the East Indies, was it?) They would have had to get it from elsewhere, and if they didn't want to peacefully trade, they couldn't very well avoid conflict w/ the US. But if they could have somehow done it, there wasn't any compelling reason to clash w/ the US that I know of.
    .
Anyway, it wouldn't have been that great for the US to face hostile totalitarian powers across both oceans. They (mostly Germany & Japan) would have eventually found excuses to have a war with us. Until then, constricted trade would have kept the economy down. Eventual rearming would have helped the economy. Spending on military buildups would have been huge.

Germany would have eventually mellowed, like the USSR did, but I can't see it just collapsing and abandoning its past like the USSR. Japan might have developed towards being like China today - rich through production (and pillaging its colonies), not overtly hostile, but not too friendly either.
