a photo that can never be replaced. My grandma's house did burn down about ten years ago and they lost their wedding pic. It was taken over 40 years ago something insurance money can never replace!

My laptop. I have a lot of work, pictures, letters, etc stored on it. Every important picture in my house is scanned and stored on it, letters, etc. The true goal of all that scanning was to get a firesafe and start putting backups off everything on this machine in it. It's one of the things on my perpetual list of things to do that never seems to get done.

If all my family were safe, and that includes pets, I'd try to get my computer, my family pictures, and especially the photo of my grandmother. I'm as bad as oluckboy -- I have SOME of the photos backed up, but I haven't left the backup copies at Dear One's brother's house yet (just in case something goes wrong at our house). (Dear One is my life partner).

My desk, I know it sounds unreasonable, but it was a birthday present from my parents and it is an antique. It means alot to me, plus as we're on our way out we can throw other things into the drawers.

In this case, if my family got out fine, I'd have everything I needed. As far as material possessions go, since this IS the question, I'd go back and grab my Harry Potter books. I sound like the BIGGEST nerd, but they're important to me and pretty much irreplacable in my eyes, so that'd be my next thought, aside from my family.
