  • Before you buy a new one,first check whether you have a corroded electrical connection on the washer pump.Just disconnect it and clean the two electrical connectors with a piece of emery cloth.Then spray with WD40,replace,and you may find that it will work again. Alternatively, it could be a bad connection on the washer button stem inside the car.Just push it really hard in and out a few times and see if that works. If you have to replace it,the black plastic washer unit will most probably be secured with a self tapping pozidrive screw.Just disconnect the washer pipes and the electric power plug and replace it with a new one. Lets hope it only needs cleaning to save you the expense of a new one!
