Help answer this question below.

Illustrator CS4 installation help! I downloaded the trial for Illustrator, but I keep getting stuck during the installation at Checking System Profile 90%. The setup window appears quickly then disappears right away. How can I get this to work?

    Buy CS5. Which sucks. Adobe really messed that up.

    I'd suggest downloading and running CCleaner and redownloading the trial. Also, follow the instructions given here:
