  • First of all, deep breaths. Remain calm. You will need to see your general practitioner first if you have one. If not then a trip to a Gynecologist or Planned Parenthood will give you a general health check and a test to see how far along you are. Start taking a prenatal vitamin with folic acid to help protect against birth defects. You will need to see a gynecologist roughly every 2-3 weeks for most of the pregnancy and to get tests to check on your baby's growth and health. Good luck and congrats!
  • You will need to see an obstetrician or mid-wife (your preference). The first visit they take all your health history. This website is pretty helpful!! http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/prenatalhealth/9344.html Congratulations!!!
  • Well first off, congrats on your pregnancy. I am sure each first prenatal visit varies to some extent, but what I experienced at my first OBGYN appointment about 8 weeks ago is them taking a complete health history, both personal and family. They also did a pap if you have not had one recently as well as a urine test and blood tests. I hope this helps.
  • i just found out im pregnant too but im really worried because last time i had a misscarriage and all i keep thinking that its going to happen again should i be worrying so much?
