Can you set up a wireless network and still use a wired LAN?

    Yes,in fact that is what most people do.A wireless access point joins a wireless device to the wired lan.

    Yes. In my house, our HP desktop and our Mac Mini are hardwired, while all four laptops are wireless.

    Most wireless routers have 5 jacks in the back. One is for the uplink (modem or another router) and then 4 for other computers.

    Yes. You really don't have to do anything special. Windows (if that is your OS), and your router will do most of the setting up for you.
