  • There is no point in doing anything if you are not going to do it to the best of your ability. Apathy is one of the worst things in todays Society
  • There is no point. Personally I can't do it because I feel bad that I'm getting paid to do a job and I'm not doing what is expected of me. You know what they say "Work hard, play hard."
  • I work very hard when I have work to do, and very efficiently. I find that I often finish my work very quickly (quicker than others), and this is where the problem comes for me. If I have finished my work, I can't sit around twiddling my thumbs. I tried asking for more work, but when your boss takes advantage of that and gives your the worst extra tasks to do, then you are not really keen to ask for extra work a second time. So for this reason, I sometimes will slow down my work-rate, just so I have something to do all day, and not be too bored, but it is very hard to slow down. I am not allowed to leave work when work is finished, as I seem to be paid for my time rather than my work at my current job. I will be looking for more time-consuming work when my contract expires in a few months.
  • I have seen this, and even thought about the motives about it...(maybe participated a time or two, shhh) anyway, I think a lot of people will do it who are unhappy with their job and unhappy with their boss or bosses, and this is an attempt at getting them back. Bringing the system down from the inside :)
  • You're right. You might as well be outstanding rather than mediocre. My dad always said; "Anything worth doing, is worth doing well".
  • I don't think there is a point to do that....and the way things are going...there are many out there who can and will take your place if you don't get it together...many people would love a job right now....
  • Time passes faster and promotion cames faster if you actually work to the best of your ability. Why waste time when it can be utilised to its correct purpose and help you at the same time.
  • Laziness may make sense in evolution as our ancestors were starving and needed to conserve calories.
  • Why do you think it's called hard work. Cause its hard work! I don't do s$&t unless I have to. By the way almost everyone else at my job is the same. If u dont like it, find yourself another govenor!
  • I don't slack off, but I do work at a pace that's comfortable for me. It may be slower than someone else's pace, but I'm not going to needlessly stress myself to get something done fast unless it's important.
