Drugs often flood the brain with the chemicals that are responsible for happiness, euphoria, confidence, and an increase is tactile sensations. These are normal chemicals and it's also normal for them to increase during sexual arousal (and particularly at orgasm) but drugs cause the release of amounts that are WAY over normal and they also block re-uptake receptors that normally regulate the amount thats in your brain at any one time. When combined with the loss of inhibitions that are also an effect of drugs, it's not hard to see why a sexual experience can be mind blowing while high. The problem is that when you manipulate these chemical levels in your brain artificially at extreme levels you damage your body's natural ability to produce and control them. The result is usually moderate to severe depression whenever you aren't high. After prolonged use, it can take anywhere from several weeks to several months without the drug for your body to return to normal. Some people say they never feel the same again.
