  • that is certainly simplifying it. Your basis of fact is incorrect.
  • The only circle I see is the biased one. Both republicans and democrats are biased to whichever party they belong to. I assume you are a democrat, you find reasons that justify your party, and reasons to criticize republicans. Its the very same thing with republicans. Of course, this answer isn't helpful to your question, but I just wanted to express my opinion as an independant.
  • No. Republicans and Fundies can't see it but the rest of us know, in fact, we've known for the past 8 years
  • Absolutely!
  • We had a balanced budget under Clinton. Now we don't. Imagine that.
  • What I see is both parties spending more (the Bush years and the recent bail-outs as prime examples) than ever and pointing fingers more than ever. Collapse is imminent in this republic now that the populous has realized they can vote themselves gifts out of the public treasury.
  • I don't know much about politics, but I have been seeing people's attitudes about the recession already starting to blame the democrats already. People have no patience, I can't blame them, but the democrats weren't running the country the last 8 years.
  • really? because clinton destroyed our economy... if you go back and look to al gores campeign you will see this "recession" was already in progress before clinton was out of office, it takes many years for a presidents policies to effect the economy. but people give clinton credit for the economy he destroyed. the 2 parties are in bed together and have no issues betraying the people to the rich.
  • I think the republicans received plenty of blame for the last 8 years. The election was proof of that. Fiscal conservatism seemingly disappeared from the party platform. The problem with the democratic party is that they have traditionally not been known for fiscal restraint either. As a Libertarian, I do not see either party having the best interests of the people in mind. Over the next 4 years, I predict even more debt and more blame.
  • Please hit yourself with a large clue stick a few times and consider auditing an Econ 101 class. Do you even know the process of a dollar being spent by govt? Do you realize in which branch spending bills *must* originate? Did you bother researching *any* facts or did you just pick random media blurbs at face value and choose to believe what feels good regardless of facts? Go educate yourself, take responsibility for your own fucking life, and at least learn basic economic principles and how they work in our current global economy (as in beyond what some tree hugging enviroweenie professor says works in a book or ideal theoretical environment...even religious wars can be solved quite easily on paper. Too bad we don't live only on paper.)
