  • You are 19, so do what you wish to do. It isn't necessary for you to tell anyone at all (let alone a family who would judge you for it) what your religion is,or that you are even studying facts about any particular religion (it is possible to learn ABOUT a religion without changing your own). It is no one else's business. I would say, from a Wiccan Ethics perspective, that you should respect their wishes not to have it in your house. Go to the library, your local Craft store, Wiccan/Pagan meet-ups and the like to study.
  • I agree with Antigone. As far as I'm concerned, your belief or lack thereof is your own business. If your family is the judgmental type, there's no cause in even explaining the fact that satan isn't even an issue in Wiccan culture, much less the focus of worship... they're not going to listen. Feel free to practice and study your chosen religion, but do so on the downlow.
  • You're 19. You are an adult. You are free to do as you please. However, It IS their house and you should respect their wishes. Once you get out on your own you would have the freedom to choose and act as you will.
  • Oh geeze, do I feel for you, well, you shouldn't bring it into the house, keep it outside otherwise, seeing from AR's answer, and the comments following, you seem to be around alot of nature, you are lucky for that =). If you want to find out more about it, there are many websites you can go too, heres a list. • First, you should know that there is no such thing as Celtic Wicca, despite the fact that that term is used. Wicca has ZERO to do with Celtic polytheism and did not originate from Celtic beliefs in any way, shape, or form. I suggest you start by educating yourself about the real history of Wicca and then decide whether you want to practice it. As an adult, you should be asking yourself what religion, if any, you want to believe in, and not asking your parents.
