  • The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. Very funny, sweet and insightful. Enough romance to keep a 15 yo interested without heavy duty stuff. Deals with alot of real life issues.
  • The Catcher in the Rye, and Of Mice and Men. Both classics that everyone must read.
  • Matilda for girls Treasure Island for boys. Harry Potter, anyone? Black Beauty. The Cat in the Hat may be a bit juvenile, but adults like it.
  • Off the top of my head: Eragon. Any of the Forgotten Realms books. Any of the Artemis Fowl books. Any of the Harry Potter books.
  • It depends of course on their individual tastes, but when I was 15 my favourite books were probably Romeo and Juliet A Clockwork Orange Slaughterhouse 5 Catch #22 1984 Brave New World It's probably more important at that age to fall in love with reading and to develop one's own tastes, than for you to prescribe books for them to read, unless you know them well enough to personally recommend something you have read that you think they will definitely like. Many 15-year-olds will have a problem with any adult's recommendation, however good and well-meaning it is, so don't be upset if they never read the books you suggest!
  • Candide by Voltaire, Stardust by Neil Gaiman, Anything by Douglas Adams, Steinbeck, Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising series, The Decameron, Grendel by John Gardener.
  • "the outsider" "that was then, this is now" "after the dancing days"-very good book
  • wow i love how everybody likes to show off how smart they are by naming off all these big important books. it's funny because i know that most of them haven't read them. stupid assholes
  • How to keep your legs shut by Cealess Busch (sorry i just had to d:))
  • I like the Dune book series by Frank Herbert and Douglas Adams "Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and the other books in the series are extremely funny and feed you philosophy and independent thinking in hilarious doses.
  • Well, if you haven't been assigned "the catcher in the rye" by J.D. Salinger in school, then I'd suggest you read it. What else? Well, I read 1984 when I was 15 and it defined me completely. Still maybe I was a bit early to read it hehe. What else? well, I dunno. depends on what you wanna read. If you want light literature, then I'd suggest julius verne (or however his name is), and that kinda stuff. Now if you wanna read something a bit more dense, well, you could read steppenwolf. It's not very dense, and it's cool for a 15 y/o, or that's what I think hehe, maybe demian or siddhartha, I bet you'll like those books, all by Hermann Hesse. Maybe something from jack london, he has some great books with a nice message behind them. There's a bunch of books you could read. Why not Marquis de Sade? lol. I read him at 16 hehe, but you'd have to have a bit more of an open mind. And I mean wide open.
  • Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown Sticks and Stones...not sure by who
