GUYS: Why do guys need their space or time away from their girlfriends (to do their own thing alone or with friends) even the ones they love very much but girls want to spend every waking moment with their boyfriends? Why is that?

    This often happens when the female devotes too much of her life to "her man" and doesn't develop her own fufillment in life. Sometimes a male will expect this "devotion" but then loses interest when the challenge is achieved. The female becomes confused because she has given up her life and wonders why he isn't "there" for her all the time like he was before.The male then feels "suffocated" and finds reasons to "escape" the now semmingly "needy" female.
    Meanwhile she becomes more unhappy as she waits for him to show the attention he gave he while he was courting her.
    The best thing she should do is develp her own interests and maintain her friendships; to not completely depend on the male to fufill her life, and
    realize that she is a individual with her own identity.
    It can become an obsession resulting in jealousy and mistrust which is unhealthy.There needs to be a plan where each person gets a "break", but there also needs to be a plan where time is spent together.
    Males sometimes do the same thing.

    As a woman I do not want to spend every waking moment with my partner. For a relationship to be healthy it requires you have your own space and your own interests, even friends.
