Bad customer service. Do you call it to the attention of the person who is rude, report it to their manager or supervisor, or do nothing at all?

Nothing, I'm not a nitpicky person that wants their ass kissed whenever they make a purchase.

I'm not either, but I do believe, if I'm paying good money for something, I should at least get decent service. Maybe I'm wrong, but I insist that our employees give good customer service, and I expect a reasonable amount of customer service when I shop, too.

Yeah, you are right, I'm just used to seeing people like my wife that complain about everything customer service related.

If it's not provoked by anyone in my party, then I would call in later and talk to the manager. If it ruined the outing, I likely would not bother and wouldn't return. Customer service can make or break an evening for many people. Of course, GREAT customer service gets the same action! Call to the manager and/or an oversized tip.

Yes, I'm the same way -- great customer service deserves my attention, as well. Thank you for your answer!

Thank you. I agree. And, at our business, it's something I want the customer to point out to us.

I usually don't do anything, I dont want my ass kissed, but it really makes me angry when I try to got help and they give me an attitude. I'm nice to people even when I dont feel like it at when I'm at work because they are the customer, the one spending their money and they shouldnt have to feel like they're a bother to me.
I think that the most effective thing to do would be both to talk to the person and tell their supervisor.

Thank you, Lucybell. It's the attitude like I shouldn't be in their store, or I'm wasting their time that gets me.

I bought a bag of mussels in a well known supermarket, got them home and they were all dead and dangerous. I put them in the garden for 2 weeks then took them back to the shop and threw them liberally under the freezers to get a nice warming. Love it, that's truly customer satisfaction after they attempted to put me in hospital for the sake of around £$5

I've tried all three, I've even written letters and emails to companies after several bad experiences at some places of business....in the end I have found the best way to solve this problem is not spend your hard earned money in these places. I get bad service now, I just put down the items, and walk out.

depends on how bad they were. not too bad, nothing at all, but if they really offended you say soemthing to their manager. it would then need to be brought to smeones attention
