So if I contacted my cell-phone provider, and asked for my phone service to be cancelled at midnight on the 24 day of the month, does that mean 12am/2400H on the 23 day or on the 24 day? This is not a joke. This was actually debated

    My understanding would that "midnight" of a certain date would not occur until the end of that specific date. Thus 24 hours of that specific date would have to expire before you would call out the term "midnight."
