If a plane was flying straight forward wouldn't it leave the earth?

    If it was somehow going in a perfectly straight line somehow, then yes. But planes have a path that is curved slightly downwards and follows the curvature of the earth.

    Thank you for your question.

    If you mean going into outer space, it would not be flying fast enough to do that. The escape velocity for the earth is 11.2 kilometres a second.

    However, it does have enough speed to get off the ground.

    No because the air would get to thin and wouldn't provide enough lift and the plane would fall back down to a lower altitude.

    No. Increase the angle of attack along with your airspeed. That should get you off the ground.

    in a way if you mean not turning side to side then no it whould bend wit the earth but if it was flying in a straight line like below then yes if it was going fast enough
