... there is an electronic device that makes the sound of a predatory wasp ... set it up near the ants, turn it on and leave it on ... the ants will leave and seek a safer place to set up their home ...
Buddhists try not to cause suffering or to kill intentionally, but at the same time recognize that all life involves death and that our obligation is to do what needs to be done, rather than to misunderstand the Buddhist precepts as a set of commandments. So, whilst a Buddhist cannot be say a soldier or a hunter, they will still take antibiotics if they are ill and most Buddhists are not vegetarian, but Buddhism would never justify a war. The point is that the precepts are based on insight into reality, rather than a rigid idea of how people or things should be.
Hopefully nothing as extreme as when they had a British infestation.

Keep all food area's immaculate, but put food out the door, when you want them "out the house"...just escort them with some outside food.
I have a friend who's a quasi-Buddhist and one day, I saw a roach prouncing about his house. I wanted to kill it but he took the weapon (a broom) from my hand and gently swept it outside. I didn't agree with that but you gotta love someone that gentle
well, i'm not Buddhist, but i have trouble killing anything. if ants get into the house, i try to clean up whatever they are after, then let them be. they only come in when i leave a mess, so if there's nothing for them eat they leave.
I've wondered about that myself my friend. I had a friend who would put vaseline around her doors and windows..apparently she read that ants didn't like vaseline and would not attempt to cross that barrier. She was not a Buddhist to my knowledge..just someone with a very kind heart who sought other means than killing to keep critters out of her home. Happy Saturday! :) ((hugs))
Put a lizard to do all the killing for u. Or an exterminator.
DIE ANTS DIE!
