There is a subjective element to all human experiences and an objective. if a person or a sunset or a painting is beautul to ME that is validly subjective. If the critics of art or a film say it is beautiful and they ahev valid reasons I need to be intelligent and study that and then decide. Most modern art to me is raw, vulgar and has no rules or standards so I avoid it. That is especially so when they dip a crucifix in urine and put cow dung on the Virgin but even before that a lot of it stinks. The DaVinci Code was a piece of bigoted nonsense in the book and film despite the mania about it.
