You're chances of getting pregnant are slim, but I would not say you were safe unless you and your potential have had recent HIV tests, along with a thorough check up for signs of any other STD's... I'm sorry were looking for a 'yes' or 'no' answer?

yes, if you are not sick which lowers the effectiveness of the pill, and have taken the pill as described. you are 99% covered for birth control.

- I don't think being sick affect the pill's effectiveness, some anitbiotics and antiinfectives may alter the effectiveness of BC pills.

- actually illness does effect effectiveness. Gastro is one example because it doesn't get absorbed properly. by the way, what are antiinfectives? In my medical training, I haven't come across anything like that.

- Seriously, that's not what I was told, but thanks. I honestly don't know what antiinfectives are, but it says it on the Yasmin box. Sorries, I couldn't help you... if I were to see it somewhere other than something like this I'd think it was a made-up word. :)
