What are some examples of a word, that when one letter is removed, become a different actual word, and not just a misspelling of the original one?

    Shot......- S = hot..............was the first I thought of. But now that I am looking at this question of yours & my answer here. I see a few more like.......

    What -W = hat
    Examples - s = example
    That - t = hat
    when - w = hen
    one - e = on
    and - d = an
    not - t = no
    the - t = he

    there - t = here
    was - w = as
    thought - t = though
    now - w = no
    am - m = a
    at - t = a
    this - t = his
    yours - y = ours
    yours - s = your
    here - e = her
    for - f = or
