You either have a blown fuse (easy fix) or you have a short in your wiring (not so easy fix). If both power windows stopped working then it's probably a fuse or wiring and not a dead window motor.

So how would i search for a short in my wireing
by bigred88 on January 24th, 2009
It's probably the must frustrating thing to do on the vehicle. You basically test all the wiring of the things that aren't working with a multimeter/ohm-meter or test light. A short can be caused by a break in the wire where the exposed wire is touching metal or another wire. It can also be caused by a faulty relay or component.
I would honestly just take it to a competant mechanic. There's literally miles of wiring in a car. I tried to find a short in one of my cars once and it is such a pain in the ass I ended up just taking it to a mechanic who new what he was doing and found it within a day or two.
