Why is it that in western media, women of color(asian, hispanic, arab, black, etc) are often characterized as being exotic and beautiful but not so much with colored men? usually, white men are seen as the symbol of manliness and male beauty. why?

I remember when play boy started showing pictures of ladies of all races their sale nearly went through the roof. Check out ebony see the mag. in hands on the A train daily commute.
