You can't eat a raquetball?
Hi, Here are the basic differences:
Ball: squash ball is softer, slower and smaller, colored black, around the size of a golf ball.
Racquets: yes, squash racquets are longer and narrower.
Court: squash 32 ft long x 21 ft. wide; racquetball 40 ft long x 20 ft wide.
Lines: squash has out lines at the top of the court and a line 19 inches high above the floor on the front wall. If the ball hits on or above the lines on top or below the one on the front wall (called hitting the "tin") then it is out. In racquetball the ball may hit the ceiling, but not in squash, else it is out.
Interference Rules: in squash you must give your opponent the freedom to hit the entire front directly. In racquetball you must give your opponent the freedom to hit only a portion of the front wall.
Scoring: squash games go to 9 points, 11 in the Pros. Racquetball is scored to 15 points.
Service: squash serve must be hit from either the right box or left box on the floor to the opposite box, then vice-versa if you win the point you served. It must go above the line that is 6 ft. high on the front wall. Ball is served out of your hand. Racquetball serve is first bounced on the floor, and after being struck it must bounce on the floor behind the back service line and before hitting the back wall.
