I paid only $293 in student loan interest in 2006. I know the loan company doesn't have to report it unless it is over $600. Should I still list this on my tax form?

    Sure, just because it is under their limit has nothing to do with your deduction. A total of all your deductions is the key to a larger reduction of taxes.
