It's either a software problem or a hardware problem. If it's not a software problem, as you say, then it's a hardware problem, and you need a new computer.
I've seen computers where the default install causes the computer to lock up. You can try talking to Sony tech support or the store/site you bought it from; they might help, or they might give you a new computer (in case it is indeed a hardware problem). Another option is to get a computer-savvy friend to take a look at what's going on.
If you want to rule out the possibility of a software problem, try running a Linux Live CD for a while (e.g., Ubuntu) and see if the computer still locks up. It won't modify your computer in any way. If it still locks up, I'd take it back to wherever you got it.

You're reading Iam using sony viao (VGN-SR290) new laptop . it got struck very frequently , at that time no option works only we can do is restart. this is not software problem because we already restored factory settings. please suggest me what i have to.
