Well, for the very wealthy, they offer low taxes and the opportunity to treat the US Treasury/taxpayers as a giant piggy bank for their use. This makes the GOP very popular among those who own corporations and media outlets.

Innovation but we've been leaving for some time it is the Brain drain effect no reward for risk it's simple economics.
A persons political party does not make them who they are. Republicans see things one way, and Democrats see things another way. To a pure republican, abortion is the same as if I killed my 19 month old daughter. Trickle down economics should work because why would the rich need to hoard all kinds of extra money? They don't factor in greed on that one. There is no right or wrong in democracy, only majority. Republicans value one way of living, Democrats value another. That's really all there is to it.
Republicans do NOT resent the less fortunate. They believe in lower taxes and less gov't programs for ALL. The only reason the republican party has been kind of a upper middleclass/upper class party is because lower class people THINK they are getting more from democrats gov't handouts and programs (which in actuality is making them much worse off and these programs dont work well at all), because they think they get more from DeM party the republican party doesnt have much supports in the low-income bracket of America which makes them look like a upper-class rich party.
Lately tho I think republicans have been doing a shiittty job of pwering taxes and cutting gov't programs mainly ever since the 30s lol it went down from there.
