Why do you get the munchies when you smoke weed?

Because when you smoke the thc increases your heart rate speeding up your metabolism making you hungry quicker. and usually eat junk food when your high witch don't really fill you up.

It effects the sugar in your insulin and sends a signal to your brain that you are hungry or so I have been told.
