Yes, at a minimum it is called a "Switch" & there may be more as many "Interior Lights" have an "Automatic Dim" feature controlled by a module. Go to www.autozone.com & input Ur car "Info". Go to the "Repair Section" then the "Wiring Diagrams" to see how it's wired. If U "Search a Part" (Dimmer Module/Dome Light Switch) they have a "Parts Locator" section to show U where it's located. You're reading I am trouble shooting my interior dome lights in my 99 Ford Ranger - bulbs and fuses ar good. Is there some controller tied to the door opening that is not allowing power to the light fixture?
