No. It's like that whole "sell the sizzle, not the steak" thing. Everyone's talking about it, but if you're looking for good writing I suggest you find another book. It's not the genre, but just bad writing that makes me say this.

Twilight is a great book. Its one of those books whereby you just wanna keep reading and not put it down. After reading it, i just wanted to see the movie more.

I found it engaging and a delightful easy read. The story line really draws you in and it is hard to put the book down. enjoy!

i stayed away from it for a long time. i didnt want to be disappointed. and then i picked up the first one and couldnt put it down. i read all 4 within the week.
so to answer your question. yes. its a very good book. the movie, it sucks, but what is to be expected of a movie based off a book

It's good but not great. Kind of how I felt about Juno the movie. People made it out to be better than it was, though it wasn't awful or anything.
