It's just that she's so darned ... perky. I think we tend to dislike perky people. Jealousy over their energy and positive outlook, perhaps?
If I did let petty things annoy me (I don't), she would probably be on my list. Actually, the only ad that really annoys me is the one where she blows the party favor. It makes her look like such a bubble-headed moron.

She's suppose to be annoying. That way you don't forget her, which in turn makes you think about what product she's selling. Whether it's a good thought of the product or not. I think she's funny though. Then there's that BILLY MAYS guy. Now he turns me off to anything he's selling. Maybe he should try selling the Miracle Ear, or is it hear, hearing aid next time.

Yes, she is incredibly annoying, and that is why I googled (or goodsearched) "annoying woman in Progressive commercial". If the commercial weren't on at least 3 times during one program, and she weren't trying so hard to sound like Molly Shannon, it might be more original. If it WERE Molly Shannon, and it were on less, then perhaps it might be even funnier, though it might sound like the same old same old. Enough already!

No !! Actually I think the actress Stephanie Courtney who plays "Flo" in those commercials does a fantastic job. She makes the commercials very funny and cute in my opinion. On the flip side of the coin though, The Geico Gecko gets on my very last nerve !! I HATE those commercials !!!
I suppose it's just a matter of personal preference.
