Whats the difference between a trophy and a medal on answerbag?

    Medals represent the total number of points you have earned on answerbag.

    The (top 10) users who scored the most points in the previous week are given a trophy.

    Trophies override medals, however they are temporary.

    A trophy is a small statue. A medal is a piece of metal suspended by cloth worn on your clothing. The only medals I am aware of are the ones received by veterans for their military service.

    The difference is this, if you get a trophy, you made it in the top 10 for the week, if you didnt, you made it under the top 10 for the week.

    The difference is permanence.

    You can have the medal all through your life, but you can only have the trophy if you were one of the Top 10 points earners in the past week. You will lose the trophy once you fall out of last week's Top 10.
