What is a better idea, purchasing five pairs of pantyhose at $1.00 each or 1 pair of tights at $5.09?

    Five pair will last longer, than one pair.

    Rotate the five pair, like i do police socks. lasts for a long time.

    How often do you need to wear them? With only one pair, that's a lot of washing if you plan to wear them more than once a week. And how mad will you be if you snag the only pair you've got? I'd go with the hose.

    I would buy five pair of pantyhose. Whether they are tights or pantyhouse, they eventually snag, run, etc.. (unfortunately!). On the bright side, you will have 4 more pairs waiting!

    Myself, I've had sheerish tights last for ages, I like black, go with most things, seem to keep you warmer. I hate panty hose, they don't last 5 minutes, make me sweat, make me itch, now days I think they make you look older.
    So, for me, it's tights in the winter and try to get my legs tanned and go bare in summer.
