If you're FWB with someone, and you find a person you actually want to date, would you look like an ass if you simply told your FWB you found someone new and that you want to suddenly "break up" out of the blue?

- Well, my oldest boy just married 2 days ago; so I'm pleased they wee not just FWB's!!
  Likewise, my oldest daughter.
  Now I need to get the other 5 going, though they are younger.

it depends on what the rules you and your "UM" friend had. was in a similiar situation myself. it was very difficult to open up and tell my FWB i wanted out of the situation...but he was a F before he had the B. so he understood..wasnt happy, but understood. no FWB wants to be dumped. its convenient and its not like FWB's are around every corner. best of luck

- you have to just come out and say it. its gonna suck...it could see the exact moment his heart broke. it and wasnr because he loved me...he was losing a good situation. he and i are still best friends, thankfully. he appreciated that i treated him as a friend first by being completely open and honest.

this person is only a FWB and look at the first letter Friend...you are not going with this person you have no obligation other than that of a friend with Bennifits...
Your new significant other should understand this person is only a friend and the friend does have bennifits with you. You can still be friends with or without bennifits this is up to you and your new S/O. It could work out well with all concerned if you want it to.
