Question

Help answer this question below.

Can I have invisible head lice? I've looked on my head & hair line & see nothing, no nits or bugs but my head itches alot, my scalp dont have flakes or nothing. Could this be all in my head or do i have something on my head I can't see.

    Hey,
If you have lice it will be noticable. GO under a bright lamp and u should aleast see little seasame sized white "nits" or eggs close to ur scalp. Try scraping one off if u find one, if u cant pinch it and it doesnt break , then infact it is a lice egg. You can also try soaking your hair in conditioner for two hours and then before washing it off, take a fine comb and slide it through, if you have lice, they will come off on the comb.
Otherwise, you may simply have dry scalp and just need to change your shampoo. if you are still not sure, go to your local walk in clinic and they can do a more indepth search and find a solution for you. hope this helps! :)

If it is really worrying you, go to your doctor and get him/her to have a look. It could be a scalp condition.

How's your diet? If it's a typical western diet with refined flour and sugars, you might be looking at candida. Some people are more sensitive to it than others. There is a lot of info on ways to overcome it if you search online.

I had the same problem and according to a dermatologist what I had was a type of dandruff that doesn't produce flakes. I was loosing a lot of hair because it hurts the scalp. Are you loosing hair?
I found a cheap cure using Denorex shampoo. The itching was gone and the hair started to grow back.
    Good Luck!

I have the same problem and theres to theorys.

    1) your head just gets too hot and it itches. Cure to this is put cold water on it and cool your body down.

    2) You have an allergy like i do towards house dust. Cure to this is to get tablets off your gp and get someone to help tidy your room every week to get rid of dust to prevent itchy head.

If this doesn't work then i'm sorry but these are the only too case's known because i had lice once but there visible when you have a piece of white kitchen roll next to your hair. So if all doesn't go well try this.

Hi my head itches like crazy as well and I haven't got any head lice, I have three children and have dealt with those little suckers before!! Trust me if you had head lice you would be able to see evidence of them, try putting a very fine toothed comb through your hair while covered in conditioner, if you have any lice they will show up in the comb. I'm going to go to the docs and see what she reccomends, by means of a medicated shampoo or something, I suggest you do the same, I don't know about you but its driving me crazy!! All the best.

If you think you may have lice, you will feel like you do. There is just something about talking about them that makes any scalp itching worse. If you had lice, you would see at least the little white 'sacs' around your hair shafts close to the skin. It's probably nothing but dry scalp, but, could we please stop talking about it now? LOL!!!

I gave 2 lil kids a hug & realized afterwards that they weren't very clean & it scared me because my step daughter use to get cooties alot years ago(thank god she don't anymore) but thats been about a month ago & i know from my experiences with her it usually starts showing after a week or so but I see nothing. Could it be my mind trying to play tricks on my head literally? I haven't seen those kids lately to sneak & examine their heads so could i just be freaking out please help me,lol.
