Help answer this question below.
God did tell Adam and Eve to tend(subdue) the EARTH ....i think that includes us too...HE gave us all we needed..plants, fruit trees, animals , water and sun....all Believers should have an environmental policy....
I think it's welcome for all religious leaders to provide leadership on environmental issues: the Earth needs all the advocates it can get, what with the population growing out of control, a heavy load of humans who think they have no obligation to care for the planet, and the threat of global warming as a reminder that we could very easily bring down the very system we depend on for life.
So yeah: he should speak up. And Catholics should listen.
i feel that new pope tactics are as follows: anytime they feel like they are losing their ability to rule over good hearted people, the pope and his shady affiliates try to make it look like they stand for something actually good, like the environment instead of lying to people and taking their money and getting them to vote conservative.

I agree to, but some of my Catholic freinds think it is one of those minor laws, and some of my protastant frends think that it is the Pope just trying to controll the world. But I think it is the answer to the environmentalist prayers
