If your computer has been completely restored your old library just isn't there except on your ipod. If this is the case then you need to copy the music from your ipod to the computer and add it in itunes before you will be able to sync again. Otherwise when you sync all the music will be deleted from your ipod. I know there are other questions on AB explaining how to do this if you get stuck, and there are even some freeware programs out there which will do it for you.

Otherwise your library may be still on the computer but itunes doesn't know where. If this is the case you need to find your library and then in itunes settings under the advanced tab, make the "music" folder the one where your library is. This should solve your problem.
