I am buying a car out of state from a dealer. He doesn't supply temporary tags since I am registering it in Texas. How can I legally drive the car to my home county to get it registered?

    Not legally.

If you already have a license plate on another vehicle, have it transferred over to your new vehicle BEFORE you drive it home.
