Even if it is true, you may be opening a can of worms by letting this troubled girl into your home. There are agencies that can help her better.   • If you get a family law attorney and go to court, it is very possible the judge will grant her petition for a custody change or emancipation. Of course, that's expensive and slow. It's possible if she just moves in with you (with your support) that her parents will just let her go or not make enough of a fuss to need a court battle. As a child ages, judges increasingly give weight to their wishes in considering their fate.
