Help answer this question below.

Freshwater fish tank- water is really merky cant see through it and fish swimming to top, we do regular small water chages, what should we do?

    Sounds like a lack of oxygen (with them swimming on top). Try replacing the filtering system, you can also buy some "water clear" tablets. Once you get the water cleared up, try not to do to many water changes either (it throws the natutal balance off), and don't take out more than 1/4 of the water. I always use store bought water when I do the changes as I have well water. Good luck with them

    if you don't have a filtering system you might want to get one. they are not too expensive.

    if you were to take all the water out and replace it at once, you risk shocking your fish and killing them. but what you can do is take all the water out, scrub and clean the tank and everything in the tank (fake plants, rock, etc), then put back maybe 50% old water and 50% new water.
