Does wiping the free space using GLARY UTILITIES in order to make sure your files are gone completely, actually "wipe off ALL the free space" off your hard disk?

    Which of the Modules & orange button are you talking about?
    As there are many functions in Glary from empty file/folder finder to file shredder to registry errors, etc, so I need more information to be able to clarify what each part of the many function program does.

    But as to wiping a harddrive only total format comes close to a clean wipe, yet even then with the right equipment there is still some information that could be recovered, so destroying the HD as in unable to never use again then maybe no information.

    I am not familiar with GLARY, but the only way to completely get rid of the data is to low level format the drive. A high level, which is a typical format, only wipes out the FAT table.

    Think of it like this... a book has a table of contents and the pages. If you rip out the TOC, can you still find the pages? Yes, it just takes longer. A high level format is takes out that page, whereas a low level format it tearing out ALL pages.
