  • I believe an easy way to do this is to go to the browser on the ps2 without any games in it but with your memory card in. 1.) Click on the memory card icon. 2.) You should be looking at all your saved data on your memory card. 3.) Find a 3 dimensional box labeled corrupted file. 4.) Delete it. Once you have done that for all 3 corrupted files they should be gone and you will be able to save. That's how i did it on my PS2 because i had the same things happening to my memory card.
  • I'm sorry, but it's not that simple. When I try to delete the corrupt cube from my card, it says (and I quote) "Delete Failed". I'm not looking for just a basic delete cuz that won't work in this case. I'm wanting to format the card. A format would be powerful enough to wipe the corrupt data off the map. How do I format my PS2 memory card without the use of an Action Replay or a Gameshark?
  • you cant delete it using the browser. i have 2 corrupted files 1)i deleted it the way u suggested 2)the other file that is corrupted cant delete it using the browser... IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO FORMAT MEM CARD W/O GAMESHARK OR ACTIONREPLAY? -evildyce
  • I have the exact same problem but my game is not flagged as corrupted but it says the file size is ? and it wont let me delete it.
  • I wish I knew how to get rid of corrupt data. The little delete problem has only happened to me on PS2. I had corrupt data on my gamecube and xbox, but I deleted that data rather easily, but on PS2, now that's a different story. Why are madcatz memory cards more vulnerable to more powerful kinds of corrupt data? Is it cuz it's the cheapo depot version of the real thing and it's not as advanced?
  • Call 1-800-345-7669 for playstation. I had corrupted files and it still happens but when I do these steps-It brings back my saved stuff. Press#4 then #1, then#1 again. It should tell you to take the game out and close the console. Tv on, console on..Tv should have the word BROWSER-Choose BROWSER then push TRIANGLE button. Select SYSTEMS or CONSOLE(mine is newer so it says console) Then PRESS X. TURN "ON" the DIAGNOSIS. Once that's on, enter the disc into console you're having problems with. You should re-gain everything. Call the number above if you have to but good luck.
