  • Absolutely. I think being overweight can sort of put me in the "dork" category. I'm a sci-fi fan as well. I've had a weight problem my entire life and I've always felt judged when I try to look nice. Though, I feel a bit better about myself now that I've lost a nice amount of weight.
  • hi my friend ----- sure i do at times but it does not bother me one bit ----- i have leg braces that look awkward, and people cant keep from looking at them
  • I get judged for looking like a Gypsy (there is a reason for that... I am one and, yes, I get judged a LOT for it). I get it a bit for long hair (it is to my butt) but that is no biggie. My standard "uniform" when I am not at work is: jeans, a tshirt, boots, heavy coat in winter, bomber jacket when needed the rest of the time. Sometimes I still wear my leather vest (with run pins) from my riding days because of nostalgia. I look like I am stuck in the 80's, which I am. I do know that when I was riding and in my full biker leathers (on top of the "uniform" listed above) usually with my gloves sticking a bit out of my pocket I really was judged by how I dressed. Even though I always had my leathers top notch, clean, oiled, etc., people were nervous around me. However, I am one of the most polite guys you could ever hope to meet and usually set people at ease quickly so this really was not a problem either.
  • i dress just fine so no one judges me on that. im a chunky girl and yes i feel horridly obese sometimes when people stare but i know that i am not and i just pretend they are staring at my beauty. hahaha. if you would have asked me this 5 years ago i would have said yes. i was soooo insecure. i have worked on that and feel soooo much better about myself
  • Yes I do but I got used to it. But I understand people because I would judge myself harshly if I wasn't me!
  • I'm a 23 year old male who likes to wear fedoras ... and for some reason people can't seem to wrap their minds around it .... I get asked why I'm wearing that hat and it's the same answer everytime, "I like it" or "I like the way it looks" ... I wear it for the same reason MOST people wear ball caps ... especially those who wear them backwards (they aren't blocking the sun when they're worn that way!)
  • YES! I am forced to wear long skirts and people just imediatly assume I'm one of those women who believe men should do everything for them. They also think im girly.
  • Yes, and usually because I look too "plain". I often get told "you're such a pretty girl, but why not do something with yourself". Boy do I love those backhanded compliments! I don't wear makeup, sometimes wear jewelry, stick to wear jeans, a tee, and a basic jacket. Most of the girls in my area like to show off by wear little to no clothing or clothes that aren't their size. Since I don't dress like them, they asusme something is wrong with me.
  • I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall, quite slim, and apparantly quite attractive. For this reason, people tend to assume that I'm perfectly comfortable with myself and have buckets of confidence. They frequently say things like "oh my god you're sooo tall", and guys in clubs are always commenting on my height. What they don't know, or don't care about, is that I'm actually extremely insecure about my height because of comments like this, but I've been forced to accept them and put on a brave face. I would never comment on somone's physical appearance especially not if I didn't know them, so I don't understand it when people so openly judge me.
