I do, and I love that about me. :-D It's great to get lost in a good book or movie and to totally empathize with characters. It gives me a break from my ordinary or stressful life. If I'm watching a real tear-jerker, it helps me realize how lucky I am when the movie's over to have what I have.
I definitely do! "The Notebook" had me balling into my pillow like a baby. It's the same with a lots of things I read or watch. I think it's a good trait. Human beings are SUPPOSED to show compassion. We're SUPPOSED to feel these things. It means we're capable of kindness and caring. It's the best trait you can have.
Sometimes I do cry, especially if it's something that hits home with me because I have experienced it. And sometimes I cry because I can only imagine how painful that would be to go through.
My husband thinks this is ridiculous because it isn't real but I think it's totally acceptable. It shows that you are able to empathize and that you care about others.
Yes and more so at books. And this is not a bad trait, its human to feel empathy. And reading is escapism, u escape into the world of the characters and you care about what happens to them (if the book's well-written and you get to know the characters)
YEah If i really like the movie i can get emotional.Even crying.
G'day Valkarie,
Thank you for your question.
I do get emotionally involved in movies and books. In my view, it is not a fault in me but a tribute to the author or moviemaker that others can get emotionally involved in their works. If people don't get involved in the character, the work doesn't have the same impact. You won't want to read the book or watch the movie again.
Regards
It is totally normal. Personally, I'm not an emotional person but many people are and many people cry.
Absolutely! And I reckon you would be emotionally dead if you didn't :)
In my opinion it means you are sincere in whatever you do , a good habit .wud be interesting to see what others have to say ..
I have cried while reading a book. I usually try and envision myself as one of the characters in the book therefore getting emotionally involved. I dont think its a bad trait at all. It shows that you do have emotion.
I sure do I've found it's a great way to get in touch with my inner self - - I think it is a wonderful trait
I totally do! I am not a big "cryer" in real life situations at all, so I think it is a natural release.
How good for you that you get so much out of the book reading/movie watching experience!
I cry at movies, TV shows, commercials, books etc. Anything emotionally moving. Try listening to a moving book on CD while driving - that is hard!!!!
When you're pushed to that "POINT!!!" What keeps you, or, how do you keep from going over, the edge??
