I was told not to soak them in the polish remover. I have acrylic nails too, and I use only aceton like they do in the salon.

I will tell you the easiest way to get them off without one ounce of pain! all you need is 100% acetone aluminum foil some cotton balls and a scrape brush wet the cotton ball in the acetone and get it pretty wet and place it over your nail then wrap your finger with the cotten ball soaked on your nail in foil pretty tight let them stay wrapped for 1 hour no less but i let mine go for 1 hr and 10-15 min just to make sure then unwrap the foil and scrape off the nail wich is a bunch of goop on your nail and grab a nail file and file the rest off then your done :)

Hate to tell you this but they come off painful anyway. just easier and quicker. Depends on who put them on and how long youve had them on. usually soak them for 5- 10 minutes. there are some tools that help you get them off easier.
