I wouldn't say it was common behavior , but I am sure there would be some who do it , but not the majority
-
Not only eating but also putting make up on, talking on the cell phone, masturbating, singing, dancing...you name it!
-
Far too common especially in car accidents!
-
i dont think its very common.
-
After living in Germany for five years I like to keep both hands on the wheel. Driving over 150mph and doing anything else at the same time is just about insane.
-
Not really common, but I have seen people do it and have been guilty of it a couple of times.
-
I think so. If i go through a drive thru i eat my food while I drive. well carefully:)
-
i dont think its common, but at same time i dont think its unusual when someone does. espcially salesman who make a living driving from place to place.
-
It could be worse - I've seen people reading, putting on makeup, and even brushing their teeth while they're driving! These people take the term multi-tasking much to seriously.
-
It's isn't very common but some people like doing other stuff while driving like eating, talkin on the cellphone etc.
-
I don't think it is common but some people do it because they are "eating on the run". I guess there is no time for them to sit and eat and relax, which they should be doing. :)
-
I've never heard of this. It doesn't sound very safe. We occasionally will eat orange segments or nuts to try to wake up or give us some energy, but it's only for a few minutes and only when we're desperate.
-
better to be eatting than putting on make up. I've even seen people reading the paper. amazing. ah, yes, I do eat and drive. But only on long road trips.
-
I think everyone has done it a time or two throughout their driving experience. Better to eat than text or read your e-mails while driving. :o)

I have been an 'eat-n-drive' person since way back in the early '80's. Being on the run(no not from the law....)and the fast food outlet is on the way to the supply house, lumber yard,,,whatever. My time away from a job costs me money, the longer away, the less is done, and I lose income. If I have a helper with me,it costs even more. The idea of eating and driving is the very idea fast food outlets have ...UMMM what's that called???....OH YEAH<<DRIVE THROUGH WINDOWS!

Among those who pride themselves on multi-tasking yes..some apply makeup, some read, some paint their toenails I suppose. Among those who believe that being behind the wheel means you need to focus on that 100%, then no..it is not common..it is not reasonable! Happy Wednesday! :)
-
Between school, work, volunteer activities and the limited amount of time I have with friends and family I never get the chance to eat... so I often find myself eating in the car.
-
Well, maybe he thinks he is the gas tank and is just topping off the tank...Or, maybe not... :)
-
not common! perhaps not very common
-
I eat a banana or yogurt in a tube, it is a time when i am sitting down! Like now i am eating toast ;0)
-
only if I'm hungry and in a rush
-
It is with me.
-
I don't think it's normal but if you only see him on his lunch break and he has an hour, then it might be normal for him!
-
