Can a zero amount of anything exist in reality? It doens't exist if there is zero of it, right?

    A zero amount of plutonium exists in my pocket. Or I hope thats the case for my sake. But it still exists outside of my pocket.

    A zero amount of my hair exists on the surface of the furthermost sun from out planet, but even though Im going bald, my hair does still exist.

    If you had 0 pencils in your hand, it would be true that pencils in your hand do not exist, but pencils still exist elsewhere. Saying there are 0 of anything is the same as saying that there are none of something, just in mathematical therms.

    Here's a philosophy perspective. While Zero has proven useful as a conceptual place holder in math, you're right. As a true value; nothing can't actually exist or be defined, because the defining entity will always have to be present and contribute the '1'. The closest thing to zero in reality would actually have to be either 1, or infinity.
