Emerging markets and economies will always need educated professionals, particularly people who can expand the existing infrastructure. Engineers and medical professionals definitely do that.
Although there's a bit of a global recession going on, the most developed nations are being hit proportionately harder and it may be that the best opportunities are in places where the action is only beginning.
