  • In the United Kingdom at least, foxes (red foxes) are considered vermin and thus cannot be kept as pets. Other 'vermin' can sometimes be kept - Rats that are bred as pets, and thus disease free, or pigeons, are a good example of this. If a vet recieved an injured fox, they would only have two choices after nursing it back to health; 1) Put the animal down 2) Give the animal to a wildlife sanctuary Such sanctuaries would be the closest you would get to finding a 'pet' fox.
