  • I think in most states you are responsible until he or she turns 18.
  • You have to pay child support as long as the courts tell you to. It might change if the child becomes legally emancipated.
  • You are probably responsible until at least 18, or (s)he leaves your ex-wife's home. This may also take a court decree to absolve you of paying it longer. Most states, I believe, the age is 18, or 22 or 23, if they go to college. It should be listed in your divorce papers, somewhere. Again, make sure, if you stop, that it's legal for you to, or your ex agrees. (Get it at least in writing, and keep her happy at least until they're 23 or so, if you can). Many states are cracking down on "deadbeat dads". Check with your -or a local- lawyer before you stop paying.
  • yes you are. even if you weren't don't you want to support your kids anyway? I'd hope so...
  • depends on the stipulations the court put with it
  • In most cases you are responsible to pay child support until the child is 18..sometimes longer IF they go on to college..but you don't get to stop paying just because they drop out of highschool :)
  • My man dropped out and so did his brother and the dad still had topay until they were 18, it might depend on where you are from, laws are different in different areas
  • Depends on the laws where you live. I would think as long as the child is still living at home you would have to regardless of whether they are in school or not. Where im from parents can be made to pay child support even after age 18 if the child is still living and home and continuing to further their education after highschool.
  • It depends on the state you live in, some say until the age of 18, others say as long as they are in High School. I would go online and research laws under your state.
