  • It is okay but it probably won't work. If she has never been bred before or it's been a very long time, most likely there is so much internal fat around her organs/ovaries that if she did release eggs, they couldn't get out as the opening narrows and even disappears completely. She probably isn't capable of getting fertilized. It's very difficult to breed older rabbits as there is a narrow window to prevent this conditions. Sometimes in showing larger breed rabbits that are first bred much older, people have waited too long, trying to get points on their rabbit that it's nearly impossible to breed their does when they are 14 months old as they have already gotten too fat to be bred for the first time. Sometimes you have to pick, showing or breeding or just do the best you can.
